HCT Diffuser

Rear aero to the max! This HCT rear diffuser comes with mounting posts, 4 self-tapping hex screws, and the rear position light LED mount system using ten 3mm red LEDs (one is a spare) that you can simple glue into place (I like E6000 glue). This will require the stock rear wheelie bar to be removed (or not installed when building). This diffuser will mount into the 4 holes that the wheelie bar used. It is advised that most of the weight of the chassis components be moved forward to reduce wheelie action (so the diffuser does not rub on the ground). In some cases, weight ballast up front can be used to counter the wheelie action. No drilling is required, simply bolts into existing chassis parts.

Note: If you’re using the Yeah Racing rear aluminum shock tower, you’ll need the optional HCT Diffuser YR Mounting Tubes for proper fitment.

Note: This kit does not include the rear exhaust pipes, as shown in the finished Honda City Turbo Senna Edition. These were simply 8mm styrene hollow tubes that I cut, painted, and glued in place.

Tips: Some parts may still have some support tree remnants. Using needle nose pliers can pluck those stray strands off the main part. You can also sand down the parts to make them smooth, but be aware that it may lighten or dull the sanded area as compared to the rest of the part if you don't plan on painting them (I didn't paint any of the black parts and kept them bare). If a bolt needs to get through a stubborn hole, a hole reamer or even a simple hex driver may be all that's needed to make the hole larger for the bolt. Some of the large flat surfaces with speckled/rough texture may have residual hot bed adhesion glue residue still on them. If you want to remove that slightly sticky surface, simply clean it with warm water and a micro dot of dish soap (and a soft green Brillo pad can be used to help get the residue off faster).

Tech note: Each red LED is 2 volts, 20mA, Anode (+) = longer stem, Cathode (-) = shorter stem.

Attention: Please be advised that the HCT aero parts (splitter, wing, diffuser, side skirts) are more for aesthetics than that of actual performance gains. While they might introduce some small amount of aerodynamic gains, it's unlikely that it would be of significant measure in a race situation. Also be cautious that because these aero parts are somewhat extrusive from the car's body, that it introduces added risk of breakage if it collides with another object or if the car flips over. Like with any RC car, please drive carefully!
