Dashboard/console (stock RIGHT hand drive) with gauge cluster, 9 white LEDs (one is a spare), center console LED cover, hex bolts, nuts. The driver gauge cluster and center console gauge cluster cover (black or clear) will need to be glued to the dashboard. My preference is E6000 glue for this type of application. The small circle stickers for driver’s gauge clusters can be applied individually to each 5mm LED. I’m using M3 fine-threaded bolts here rather than self-tapping screws, as I found the fine thread actually dig into the plastic better here than self-tapping screws. No drilling is required, simply bolts into existing chassis holes.

Note: An optional LEFT hand drive dashboard is also available if you want to build an American style cockpit (this is what I did on my Honda City Turbo Senna Edition video), but know that the stock driver has no way to mount on the left side without serious fabrication and modification.

Tip: It may be best to add some E6000 glue to permanently adhere the gauge cluster stickers to their respective parts.

Parts:

  • Interior Dashboard (RHD)
  • Driver gauge cluster
  • Center console cover clear (use with LEDs)
  • Center console cover black (use without LEDs)
  • White Flat Top 5mm LEDs for driver’s gauges (Qty 3)
  • White Diffused Round Top 5mm LEDs for center console (Qty 6)
  • M3 bolt, stainless steel (Qty 2)
  • M3 washer (Qty 2)
  • Tonic RC gauge cluster sticker sheet (has driver gauges and center console stickers on the sheet)

This part is also included in the following kits:

HCT Pro Kit

Note: If you buy this part, it will come with the gauge cluster mini sticker sheet (shown in the final image) and if you buy it as part of the HCT Pro Kit the gauge cluster stickers are part of the large Tonic RC sticker sheet that is included with the Pro Kit.

Second to last image is an example showing the center gauge cluster with center gauge sticker mounted on clear cover and the black cover. It's advisable to use the center sticker that comes with this part on the clear cover if you intend to use the LEDs. If you know you'll never use the LEDs, then using the sticker on the black cover is advised. And again, a little bit of E6000 glue is recommended to better bond the sticker to the cover (especially for the clear cover).

Installation
Detailed installation instructions to come later (hurrying to get these parts available first!). For now, the dashboard system is the only part (in the HCT Pro Kit) that retains all of the original support trees and will need to be plucked out with needle noose pliers. The driver gauge cluster is to be glued into the main dashboard part (there are guide slots to help place the part in the right spot). Choose either the black solid plate (if supplied LEDs are not used) with rear arrow pointing up or clear plate (if LEDs are used) and glue into place. Apply gauge cluster stickers (on and plate and inside driver gauge cluster) from the supplied Tonic RC sticker sheet. The dashboard itself screws into the existing holes in the chassis with the supplied screws. More photos and details to come!

Tips: Some parts may still have some support tree remnants. Using needle nose pliers can pluck those stray strands off the main part. You can also sand down the parts to make them smooth, but be aware that it may lighten or dull the sanded area as compared to the rest of the part if you don't plan on painting them (I didn't paint any of the black parts and kept them bare). If a bolt needs to get through a stubborn hole, a hole reamer or even a simple hex driver may be all that's needed to make the hole larger for the bolt. Some of the large flat surfaces with speckled/rough texture may have residual hot bed adhesion glue residue still on them. If you want to remove that slightly sticky surface, simply clean it with warm water and a micro dot of dish soap (and a soft green Brillo pad can be used to help get the residue off faster).
Tech note: Each white LED is 3 volts, 20mA, Anode (+) = longer stem, Cathode (-) = shorter stem.
