HCT F1 Wing

Styled in a traditional 1980’s F1 rear wing, this aero part really sets your HCT apart from the others. All hex hardware is included, but you will need to drill out the existing body wing holes (with 3mm bit) to accommodate the included M3 bolts, as they’ll provide the added strength needed to hold this larger wing than the stock wing. A printed thin wrench is included to help hold the nut in place while you screw in the bolt.

Tips: Some parts may still have some support tree remnants. Using needle nose pliers can pluck those stray strands off the main part. You can also sand down the parts to make them smooth, but be aware that it may lighten or dull the sanded area as compared to the rest of the part if you don't plan on painting them (I didn't paint any of the black parts and kept them bare). If a bolt needs to get through a stubborn hole, a hole reamer or even a simple hex driver may be all that's needed to make the hole larger for the bolt. Some of the large flat surfaces with speckled/rough texture may have residual hot bed adhesion glue residue still on them. If you want to remove that slightly sticky surface, simply clean it with warm water and a micro dot of dish soap (and a soft green Brillo pad can be used to help get the residue off faster).

Attention: Please be advised that the HCT aero parts (splitter, wing, diffuser, side skirts) are more for aesthetics than that of actual performance gains. While they might introduce some small amount of aerodynamic gains, it's unlikely that it would be of significant measure in a race situation. Also be cautious that because these aero parts are somewhat extrusive from the car's body, that it introduces added risk of breakage if it collides with another object or if the car flips over. Like with any RC car, please drive carefully!
